The Kingdom of Suðreyjar comprised the Hebrides, the islands of the Firth of Clyde, the Isle of Man, Dyflinn, and parts of Strathclyde during the 9th century AD. The kingdom was established by Ivar the Boneless around the time of the Great Heathen Army's invasion of England. Following Ivar's death in 877, the kingdom fractured into three parts, and was eventually conquered by the Kingdom of Scotland in 884.
